Mini Crossbow Tips & Tricks

There are things you can do to prolong the life of the bow string. Getting better groups, & enjoying your new past time.

1.  Bow wax.
You will want to get some, rub it on string, rails & cams (If you own a compound Crossbow.)

2.  Strong Duct tape.
You can use it to build up the bow string where it makes contact with the xbow. Layer some on the ends of the prod and where the string makes contact with the rail. Test to make sure its not to thick or it will fire by it's self. I dremeled my notch's & the gap that holds the string in firing position wider to ad more layers.

3.  Strings.
I would pick some up, they will break. How ever by replacing the duct tape each few shooting sessions you can extend the life greatly. I have had my string for 3 mouths now with daily shooting. -Mini Mega string is very strong and may never break-

4.  Molly Paste.
This works well with metal on metal type crossbows. Like the Mini Mega, Mini Rifle & Super slim stainless. Put some on the Cams & all parts that make contact with the string. Add some to the trigger & sear system for smooth shooting.

 5.  Finger Exerciser.
You may have noticed that your bow may be hard to cock if you have ordered a powerful model. Do not be tempted to  use anything but your fingers to cock the mini xbows. (Failing to do so will result in early string breakage) Buy a finger exerciser for best results.

6.  Have fun & remember Styrofoam blocks make great back stops & balloons are always fun! You can find this stuff anywhere!

Please feel free to add any other tips you may have found out with your mini micro Crossbow. I will continue to add tips and tricks as I learn about these wonderful fun mini xbows. Well I got to get back to my personal archery range in my office for some bow time!

Yes we have had a few in mahogany, but it is not something we carry all the time. I will keep a look out for you. You can check out our beautiful rifle mini crossbow. It has a nice red wood check rest.
